DECONSTRUCTION
The proposed building for Santo Tirso community, in Portugal, finishes off the block through its displacement in relation to the facade of the pre-existing building and because it is raised from the floor allowing the creation of two squares at different levels.
The lifting of this building not only allows a better view of the landscape but also transmits an idea of levitation to people in the lowest part of the city.
The concept of this building consists in the creation of two apparently independent volumes united by two squares and by vertical elements.
As well as the city of Santo Tirso has an orthogonal grid that will disintegrate as we leave, this project wants to transmit that idea through its deconstruction.
